Finding Work, Housing and Happiness as an Immigrant

My name is Lisa, and I work as an immigration attorney in the state of California. I thought I knew all about immigration when I left law school, but I have learned much more as I have negotiated this complicated world as part of my job. The public in general does not understand immigration, and as a stranger in a new world the immigrant has no way of knowing how to best navigate these waters. With this blog I hope to better educate the public about immigration and to help immigrants themselves in understanding how best to be true to themselves in an unfamiliar place.
